Joe Anderson's next chance at achieving his NFL dream is coming true. A month ago he was begging to be noticed by an NFL team, holding a sign outside the Texans stadium that said: "Not hungry, but STARVING for success."
Jets wide receiver Brandon Marshall took notice, sharing the image and saying Anderson was "one of the hardest working guys I've had the pleasure playing with." The two played together in Chicago and now they're destined to be teammates again.
Anderson has been signed to the Jets' practice squad, according to Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post. It comes after the receiver posted to Instagram last week saying he met with the Jets, but wasn't offered a contract.
An excerpt:
"I didn't sign today but I'm still so very very grateful God has brought me this far the organization spoke highly of me and really really liked what they seen an [sic] may be bringing me back next week or the week after or even on a contract after the season either or is great and fine with me.."
Now everything has changed and he's overjoyed. The next chapter in Anderson's story is just beginning.
