According to the Chicago Tribune, a football autographed by Bears quarterback Jay Cutler did not receive a single bid at a charity auction on March 26. The report states that there weren't a lot of football fans in the crowd that night, so that may have had something to do with no one being willing to donate $100 to charity in return for the autographed football. It is more likely, however, that they just didn't appreciate the 18 interceptions Mr. Cutler threw last year.
Fortunately for the Anti-Cruelty Society (the host of the event), an anonymous donor called after the event and offered up the $100 starting bid on the condition of anonymity. Hard to blame them for that.
