Soccer player delivers game-tying assist despite being pelted with trash

Trinidad and Tobago was down to the final kick in its Gold Cup against Mexico and as Joevin Jones lined up for a final corner, fans made it rain garbage down onto the pitch. Cups, water bottles and who knows what else covered the pitch as Jones readied his cross.

That may have seemed like a good deterrent, but Jones got the last laugh when he delivered a perfect cross for a game-tying goal.

That was good enough to clinch the group for Trinidad and Tobago while Mexico finished second.
