President Barack Obama called the USWNT to congratulate the team on its stunning 5-2 victory over Japan to win the Women's World Cup and the president couldn't resist a little light-hearted ribbing. He asked Carli Lloyd what she'd been eating, and said "three's pretty good" while asking about why she couldn't slot home a fourth goal late in the game.
Abby Wambach thanked the President for his support and Obama said he might take Lloyd up on her offer to go running, but that he might only last 10 minutes or so.
