What happens when you have two shutout periods and the crowd is chanting your name and offering you beer? Well, you could either reject the offer and drink with everyone later -- or you could give in to the peer pressure and chug that beer. That's precisely what happened to a third-year Virginia goalie.
He was assessed with a five minute penalty and ejected from the game for the stunt. Here's an alternate angle of the goalie getting the beer from his friends.
It was accompanied by this description:
"Jake Anderson, a member of the Chi Phi fraternity at the University of Virginia, and the starting goalie for the UVA hockey team was ejected from the game last night after chugging a Keystone Light tossed onto the ice."
