He's as good at reporting weather as he is with baseball. Thanks for reporting for us Trouty! @MikeTrout https://t.co/UgyzFAC5CE

Even though he's one of the best baseball players currently playing, Angels center fielder Mike Trout somehow has the time to pick up meteorology as a hobby. Yes, Trout enjoys analyzing the weather. And with Snowmageddon currently underway on the east coast, Trout couldn't be any happier. He tweeted out a video of him driving in the snow in South Jersey:

So when he had his opportunity to cover the weather during the blizzard for the Weather Channel, he took it. Although he wasn't outside with Weather Channel correspondent Jim Cantore facing the elements, Trout gave some insight over the phone into what the weather was like in South Jersey, providing very specific details on the snow's pattern and the wind's behavior.
This isn't the first time that Trout has shown his love of the weather. Once during spring training, Trout drove two-and-a-half hours just to go see a storm. He takes the hobby so seriously that he has even direct messaged a Weather Channel meteorologist just to find out what their models said about a particular storm. He regularly updates his Twitter followers with weather factoids as well.
