After single-handedy carrying the Cardinals over the Packers in overtime, Larry Fitzgerald was unable to do the same against Carolina. Despite issues across the board, Fitzgerald took the loss especially hard.

"The emotions right now are so raw" — Larry Fitzgerald, fighting back tears

Fitzgerald has played in one Super Bowl, but didn't come away with the championship. Sunday's loss makes for another near miss and at 32 years old, it could be the best chance Fitzgerald gets at a title. That loss is going to be painful and no one could blame Fitzgerald for wallowing for a few days.
While he didn't play his best game, including a couple of uncharacteristic drops, he still is hardly at fault after a Pro Bowl season. Yet instead of sulking, one of his first reactions after seeing another Super Bowl opportunity slip away was to apologize and thank fans.
Cardinal nation we are terribly sorry about the bitter defeat we suffered this evening!!
