Behold: the Toledo Walleye's homage to hockey's wackiest, suitsiest legend, Don Cherry. The Walleye, a minor league affiliate of the Detroit Red Wings, will wear the jerseys on Jan. 23 to celebrate Hockey Night. The jerseys will be auctioned after the game, with proceeds going toward the American Cancer Society and Relay for Life.
Cherry, who is a CBC commentator after a long career playing and coaching in the NHL, is known for his less-than-conventional formal wear.

Safe to say the Walleye's jerseys are a fitting tribute.
