Penguins goalie makes sure his opponent has water bottle before sudden-death OT

Now here’s some nice hockey sportsmanship. Before Monday’s Penguins and Avalanche game went to OT, Avalanche goaltender Calvin Pickard forget his water bottle when the teams were switching sides. On the other side, Marc-André Fleury acknowledged the mishap and, with amazing accuracy, he slid Pickard’s bottle across the ice and into his box. Pittsburgh lost in OT, but Fleury won cool person points for this gesture.

It’s a far cry from that one time David Clarkson and Todd Bertuzzi got into an argument over a water bottle, which ended with the phrase, “What are you, the bottle police?”
