After nine seasons in the WNBA, Candace Parker finally has her first WNBA Championship and first WNBA Finals MVP award. In a year where Candace was not only left off the Olympic team, left off All-WNBA team selections, but also lost her former coach and mentor, Pat Summitt, she rebounded in the best way possible. After Pat’s passing, Candace dedicated the rest of season to her and delivered on that promise. Immediately following the game, Candace only had one thing to say.
Congrats to Candace Parker and the Los Angeles Sparks on a fantastic season and their first WNBA Championship since 2002.
