It’s been years since we last saw beloved office linebacker Terry Tate. If you’re too young to remember him, he’s the guy that punishes office workers for not following the rules, like making a new batch of coffee after you finish the last one. With the presidential election just a few weeks away, Funny or Die decided to bring back Tate (played by Lester Speights) to take on the infamous 2005 Donald Trump video where he bragged to Billy Bush about sexually assaulting women, and 11 years later, dismissed it as “locker room talk.”
The video starts off as the normal footage that leaked, but 49 seconds later, Tate pops into frame, tackles Trump, and admonishes him and Billy Bush for the things they discussed in the Access Hollywood bus. “Woo! That’s how Terry Tate makes America great, baby,” Tate screams at Trump’s face. “You can’t go around grabbing people willy-nilly, son! That’s just creepy! What kind of locker rooms you been hanging out, Donnie? Huh?”
It’s essentially a promotion to get people to vote on Nov. 8, but it’s also good to see Terry Tate doing well while he’s been away, and somehow time-traveling to 2005 to tackle Trump.
