David Ross was attempting to make a catch in foul territory near the Indians’ dugout. The dugout fencing appeared to get in the way of him actually making the catch, and he bobbled it. Fortunately for him, Anthony Rizzo was there to save the day.
This is verrrry similar to a play from Game 6 of the 1980 World Series involving catcher Bob Boone and first baseman Pete Rose.
