Were you following the World Senior Snooker Championships this weekend? We don't blame you if you didn't. The highlight of the weekend was eventual-champion Mark Davis pulling off the kind of shot you only see in trick shot videos, or hear about in drunken lies at a pool hall.
The shot itself was 100 percent legal. There's nothing saying the ball has to travel inside the confines of the table itself, which allowed him to strike it with enough force in the corner to make it hop onto the railing and land in the opposing corner pocket. It's hard to tell from the video, but there was spin on it, too, which allowed the ball to curve back off the railing -- rather than tracking straight.
