The Carolina Panthers brought a piece of home with them to Santa Clara for the Super Bowl -- the "Keep Pounding" drum. This pre-game tradition involves a local celebrity or luminary striking a drum when the team takes to the field. It bears the slogan "Keep Pounding," which began in 2003 to honor Panthers linebackers Sam Mills and Mark Fields, both of whom battled cancer. The phrase came to symbolize never giving up, and it has lived on to this day.

Stephen Curry is a HUGE Panthers fan. The Charlotte native spent time with Cam Newton during the offseason, he's been repping Carolina before Warriors games and he's hit the drum before.
The Panthers aren't used to having this much attention, so it seems they'll be at home.
