They're having some turf trouble at Levi's Stadium. Groundskeepers are walking around, picking up and/or flattening chunks of grass.

There hasn't been a game of football played in Levi's Stadium since Jan. 3, but despite having a month to prepare for the Super Bowl the field is having huge problems. Officials are walking around doing their best to make it look pretty, but we're already seeing the state of the field have a bad effect on warmups.

Players are having problems, too.
As I just said on live chat, it's slippery on Levi's Stadium turf. At least 2 #Broncos receivers have wiped out making the simplest of cuts.

Vernon Davis just fell over running a five-yard out pattern in warmups, no defender. So there's that.

Look for this to be a problem all night.
Field actually looks pretty good here. I mean, until someone steps on one of the trap doors and falls through but it's OK right now.

Here's a photo shortly before introductions that shows officials doing their best to pick up chunks of grass.
Whom does this favor? Well, neither team -- but the Panthers are accustomed to having field problems of their own.
