Packers running back Eddie Lacy is sporting a new, slimmed-down look in the offseason, as seen in this photo that came from P90X creator Tony Horton's Facebook. Horton reportedly offered to help Lacy lose weight back in January:
Lacy's extra weight was noticeable going into last season, even becoming the butt of jokes in the postseason; his 61-yard run against the Cardinals was huge, but it could've been a touchdown if only he'd run faster:
And it became enough of a concern that coach Mike McCarthy addressed it directly going into the offseason:
"Eddie Lacy has a lot of work to do," McCarthy told reporters Monday, via Packers.com. "I think I'm stating the obvious. His offseason last season was not good enough. He has to get it done. He cannot play at the weight he did this year."
Obviously, Lacy took his coach's words to heart, which means this season we could see him run at full speed again.
