Yankees' Aaron Hicks gunned down a runner at home with the fastest throw ever recorded

Watch this.

Congratulations! You just watched the fastest throw in baseball's (recorded) history, at 105.5 mph. From

The previous high registered by StatcastTM was 103.1, by the Astros' Carlos Gomez last September. The previous high on a throw from Hicks -- who reached the upper 90s as a standout pitcher in high school -- was 103.07 on Sept. 30.

Good grief. And I'm going to try and throw something into a trash can tomorrow from three feet away and inevitably miss.
