J.K. Simmons is jacked now

J.K. Simmons -- the beloved, Oscar-winning actor who yelled at Peter Parker, yelled at Miles Teller in Whiplash and ran a ramshackle corporation in Portal 2 -- is currently working on the new Justice League movie. His role as Commissioner Gordon is reportedly not that big, but nonetheless, he's apparently devoting a lot of energy in preparation, because look at how jacked he is.

These photos were taken by his friend U.S. Marine Aaron Williamson, who's consistently in awe of him in his Instagram captions:

Saturday morning, 61 years old & making the young generation jealous. This is what dedication looks like. #JKSimmons

Who can blame Williamson for praising Simmons on how fit he looks? I'm in awe of J.K. Simmons, and I'm also afraid of him. In awe, because, like Williamson said, Simmons is 61 and he looks like a fighter. (In general, I'm in awe of people who qualify for AARP memberships and can still kill it in the gym, like the Undertaker.) And I'm afraid of him, because have you seen Whiplash? Remember the "rushing or dragging" scene? Do you want a jacked version of J.K. Simmons yelling uncomfortable insults at you for being bad at the drums?

J.K. Simmons' arms look like the side of a cliff; his muscles have muscles, and his veins have veins. If Uncharted 5 was a thing, and you saw Nathan Drake climbing a mountain, the camera would pull back and reveal that he was actually climbing J.K. Simmons' jacked body.

So, good for J.K. Simmons on getting fit, and by extension, getting Commissioner Gordon jacked as well. If he isn't in the 1,000-pound club that Hugh Jackman's in, that should be fixed immediately.
