On Monday morning, Tim Duncan quietly announced his retirement after 19 seasons in the NBA. While most NBA fans were expecting this day to come soon, it still broke the hearts of many to know Tim was finally hanging it up. Since Tim was indeed so quiet about walking away from the game, Gregg Popovich spoke about Duncan to the media. And the best part was, he did it in a Tim Duncan t-shirt.

"He’s been so important to so many people that its just mind boggling. To think that he’s gonna be gone, it makes it really difficult to imagine walking into practice, going to a game, getting on a bus, taking him a piece of carrot cake"
