76ers fans are using #RaiseTheCat to celebrate wins and it's exactly what you think it is

New, comments

This is beautiful.

The Philadelphia 76ers have something special going on, and it’s not that they have won three games in a row, or that they are 8-2 in their last 10 overall. It’s the fact that their fans are leading a movement on Twitter called #RaiseTheCat each time the Sixers win. Sixers twitter member @GipperGrove started the movement and it’s as easy and great as it sounds. Sixers win, raise your cat.

The idea behind the movement comes from Ben Simmons posting pictures of his cats and fans wanting to do the same. It should be noted that Ben Simmons also has two really freaking cool cats.

The #RaiseTheCat movement is beautiful and special and therefore I have put some of my favorites here for you to enjoy. And as always, if you can raise two cats, raise two cats.

Or if you can’t raise two cats, use one hand for drinking and the other for cat raising.

This cat is so uncertain about life.

This cat hahahaha. This cat hates the Sixers.

Okay ma’am ... that is a dog and I believe you have misunderstood the assignment.

This photo also does not have a cat but it was honestly too good not to include it. He leads the “Tuck your hooded sweatshirt in for the Sixers” movement.

I’m overjoyed at how many NBA fans have cats. I knew you all were out there.

Go Sixers. Trust the Process. Raise your cats.
