The New York Mets are having a disastrous start to their season, but on Friday night, they came back to beat the Miami Marlins, 8-7.
That called for a celebration picture on the team’s Twitter account!
They chose to feature T.J. Rivera, who hit a game-tying double and a home run.
But the picture showed a giant dildo, right there in the bottom right, in his teammate Kevin Plawecki’s locker.
Why did the mets post a pic with a massive dildo in one of the stalls? pic.twitter.com/qjDGtq3pXn

The Mets deleted the tweet and replaced it with a zoomed-in video of Rivera to play it safe.

(I’ve already checked; there is no dildo.)
But of course the internet is quite unforgiving, and this morning the people called for answers:
On Saturday, Plawecki gave an explanation to Associated Press, saying it was merely a prank:
"There are some good pranksters on this team," he said. "It's definitely awkward. It's weird, but at the same it is kind of funny; but by no means does it reflect who I am as a person."
Plawecki said he was not making an effort to find out who left the toy in his locker Friday night.
Meanwhile, Matt Harvey will be serving a three-day suspension without pay for “a violation of team rules,” according to ESPN. Given the awkward timing of both the suspension and the locker room prank, there has been speculation that Harvey planted the dildo in Plawecki’s locker. Marc Carig of Newsday reported that Harvey had nothing to do with it:
I went to J school so I could Tweet this: I'm told Matt Harvey's suspension is not related to the sex toy fiasco from the other day. #Mets
