Javier Baez's ball finds the bleachers while Aaron Hicks is probably still trying to find it. pic.twitter.com/P9HTUE8UWu— Cubs Live (@Cubs_Live) May 8, 2017
Baez launched this thing into the dang stratosphere, so we can’t really blame Hicks for looking confused.
Poor guy looks like he’s just praying to the baseball Gods in the hope somehow the ball will show itself to him. Just one problem: It was behind him.
This really wasn’t a routine home run. The velocity and angle made it something completely different.
Javier Baez with an absolute moon shot. 104.5 MPH at a 39 degree launch angle... Max height 143ft.— Daren Willman (@darenw) May 8, 2017
Little did Hicks know at this moment that he was going to be playing another 15 innings of baseball.
