Chelsea’s Thibaut Courtois took a penalty kick and it didn’t reaaaally end up where he wanted it to. The 6’6 Belgian goalkeeper has successfully taken PKs before, but this one was just a bit (actually, wait, a LOT) too high.

Oh no, Thibaut. The goal is down there. This isn’t a goal kick, fam!
He launched that one straight into orbit, and Chelsea fell to Arsenal 4-1 on penalty kicks in disappointing fashion.
Twitter, of course, had a field day with this one:

Thibaut has taken successful penalty kicks before, and two years ago he even sunk one to win against PSG. But this time it didn’t go so well.
Thibaut Courtois taking pre-season penalties is a regular thing. Scored the winner against PSG two summers ago. https://t.co/U4qg00SHlE

Luckily this was just a preseason game.
