There are tons of friendships in sports, but nothing is realer than DeMar DeRozan and Kyle Lowry. On Tuesday night, the pair both went off on the court, and then bickered during the post-game like you and your best friend when you’re both in a mood.
DeRozan: You know, these days it’s not like I gotta have a mind set to go out there and score 30, 40 points. I go out there and play ...
Lowry: You just had 37. Whatchu mean?!
DeRozan: I didn’t go out there saying “Lemme score 30 tonight.”
Lowry: But I’m just saying you had 37, don’t say it like ...
DeRozan: I’m saying I didn’t go out there ...
Lowry: But I’m just saying you can’t say that when you had 37.
DeRozan: Listen to what I’m trying to explain, bro.
Lowry: I understand what you’re saying.
DeRozan: Lemme finish?
Lowry: Can I leave?
The great thing about the DeRozan-Lowry dynamic is that DeRozan was trying to be complementary of his teammates. His point was he has the freedom to go out and play loose because he doesn’t need to concentrate solely on scoring, and Lowry wasn’t having any of that. Sometimes your friend annoys you, and you gotta talk it out.
Or when your BFF comes up with a dumb nickname he wants to stick and you can’t even ...
But in the end you always have each other’s back — even when they suck as a friend.

I love them. I want the Raptors to win the NBA Championship just based on these two dudes.
