Shaquem Griffin held a meet-and-greet with fans over the weekend, and it’s honestly one of the best things you’ll see today.

Griffin was meeting dozens of fans on Saturday as part of a an event for Brooks Rehabilitation, an organization that helps children with disabilities. This video of a young boy wearing a Seahawks jersey is the one that the internet is falling in love with. Griffin is an inspiration to people everywhere, that regardless of what life has in store you can overcome and live your dreams.
One boy explained what the meeting meant to him.
“He means a lot to me because I’m a right-leg amputee and he’s a (hand) amputee, so to see somebody going to the NFL that can do it shows that anything is possible,” said Jacksonville native Rod Hughes, who had his right leg amputated following injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. “He didn’t let no obstacle stop him or let no one tell him nothing negative. For a lot of people, that’s a very positive thing.”

Griffin said it best (of course):
“Now that I have a platform, I feel like I can do so much more and I want to use it to inspire others no matter what ailment it is, no matter how many limbs you have and no matter where you come from. If I can give that positive light to somebody, they’ll give that positive light to somebody else.”
Griffin represents so much more than football, and only helps that he’s a monster on the field. Bravo Shaquem, you’re a true inspiration.
