Brad Emaus Looking Like Mets' New Second Baseman

According to various reports, the Mets' new second baseman will be Brad Emaus, who entered spring training as an afterthought, mostly. Who is he? Aaron Gleeman with the skinny:

Selected from the Blue Jays with the 11th pick in the Rule 5 draft back in December, the 25-year-old Emaus hit .290 with a .397 on-base percentage and .476 slugging percentage in 125 games between Double-A and Triple-A last season, drawing more walks (81) than strikeouts (69), swiping 13 bases, and homering 15 times.

Yeah, in retrospect it seems a little odd that the Blue Jays let this guy get away. It's not like they're loaded with young second basemen who can hit. Anyway, their loss is the Mets' gain, as Emaus has a decent shot at being the new Marco Scutaro ... and a great shot at being better than whoever the Mets threw out there last year.
