Nick Punto isn't the world's best baseball player -- he's only managed an OPS of over .750 once in about a decade of play, and he only played 63 games that year -- but he's managed to stay employed because HE'S SO GRITTY.
Never was that grit more clear than Monday night (the Dodgers)
By the way, this hit was INTO CENTER FIELD. (Also, sliding into first base slows you down, but Nick Punto somehow hasn't figured this out in 13 years of professional baseball.)
