Giancarlo Stanton, king of home runs

The Marlins slugger on Friday night hit the longest home run of the season, maybe for all seasons.

Marlins slugger Giancarlo Stanton greeted Eric Stults quite rudely in the first inning on Friday in Miami, hitting a two-run home run. The ball traveled 484 feet, by far the longest long ball of the 2014 season, per the ESPN Home Run Tracker, and the longest home run in Marlins Park history.

The majestic blast also cleared the Budweiser stand out in left field. For beating the supposed "King of Beers," Stanton gets the unofficial crown of king of home runs.

His reaction was befitting a king, telling reporters, "It was a good punch," per Joe Frisaro of MLB.com.

All hail, King Giancarlo the First.
