Little League World Series 2014 schedule for Wednesday

Two teams will advance to the finals of the United States and International brackets with wins on Wednesday.

Four undefeated teams will be in action at the Little League World Series on Wednesday, with the two winners advancing to the finals of their respective brackets.

Little League World Series 2014

The first game of the day is in the International bracket, where South Korea will take on Japan. Both teams are 2-0 and the winner will secure a spot in the International Championship Game on Saturday. The loser will face Mexico, which defeated Venezuela on Tuesday, 11-1. Japan's representative won last year's championship and is one victory away from returning to the final.

Nevada and Pennsylvania will duke it out in the second game of the day for the right to head to the United States Championship Game, which will be played after the International Final on Saturday. The loser will face Illinois, which knocked out Texas with a 6-1 victory.

Pennsylvania manager Alex Rice declined to confirm a starting pitcher for the game, but many expect Mo'ne Davis to pitch. The biggest star of the tournament thus far, Davis pitched a shutout on Friday and struck out eight.

Both games Wednesday will be broadcast on ESPN. Here's the schedule (times listed in Eastern):

  • South Korea vs. Japan, 3 p.m.
  • Nevada vs. Pennsylvania, 7:30 p.m.
