Watch Derek Jeter's emotional interview after his last home game

"Don't cry."

Derek Jeter didn't cry, but the Yankees star was clearly moved by the outpouring of support he received following his walk-off heroics in his last home game as a Yankee. Jeter came through with the game-winning RBI single in the bottom of the ninth inning to give the Yankees a 6-5 win over the Baltimore Orioles, and tried to put the moment in perspective during an emotional post-game interview.

"I want to thank everyone here," Jeter began. "I've said it time and time again, everyone is chanting 'Thank you Derek' and for what? I'm just trying to do my job."

"To be honest with you, I don't know how I played this game. I went up my first at-bat, I forgot my elbow guard. I was throwing balls away."

Regardless of the circumstances, somehow these things always have a way of working out for Derek Jeter.
