Yasiel Puig is under investigation by Major League Baseball following an alleged domestic violence incident that occurred at a bar on Wednesday night, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Puig reportedly got into a fight with a bouncer at the Blue Martini in Miami, after bar staff became involved when Puig allegedly pushed his sister. Miami police say the bouncer claims Puig sucker punched him when staff attempted to break up the altercation.

Police said that no charges are being pressed by either side, and they consider the case closed. MLB will conduct their own inquiry into the incident due to Puig's alleged violence towards his sister.

MLB and the MLBPA agreed to terms on a new domestic violence policy in August, which is being used in the Puig investigation. The league has said it will investigate all allegations of domestic violence, with punishments having no minimum or maximum duration. There is no indication at this time how long it will take the commissioner's office to finish their investigation.

It's reported that Puig sustained facial injuries in his fight with the bouncer, including a swollen left eye. The Dodgers and Puig's agent declined to comment on the situation when asked by the Los Angeles Times.
