The Modern Era ballot for next year’s Baseball Hall of Fame class has been released by the Hall, and there are some highly recognizable names on the list to debate. This list includes nine players from the Modern Era of baseball (from 1970 to 1987) and one executive.
While these baseball personalities have been chosen by one of the four Era Committees, the BBWA will convene during Winter Meetings as usual to choose their own inductees from the traditional pool of retired players and executives, adhering to the guidelines many fans are familiar with — time served in the league, years since retired, percentage of votes received in the prior year if they’ve been on the ballot before.
