The 88th MLB All-Star Game is all set for Marlins Park in Miami, with stars from around the game taking their talents to South Beach for the annual midsummer classic.
Fox will televise the game beginning at 8 p.m. ET, with Joe Buck calling the play-by-play along with analyst John Smoltz in the booth. Also on the broadcast are veteran reporters Ken Rosenthal and Tom Verducci from both dugouts. Online streaming is available through Fox Sports Go.
The Los Angeles Dodgers and Houston Astros enter the All-Star break with the two best records in baseball, easily tops in the National League and American League, respectively. Both teams are well represented in Miami, with six players from each making the trip.
Houston has three starters, with outfielder George Springer joining middle infielders Carlos Correa and Jose Altuve. That trio is joined by pitchers Lance McCullers and Chris Devenski, plus pitcher Dallas Keuchel, who is on the disabled list and won’t pitch.
The Dodgers have three first-time All-Stars in rookie slugger Cody Bellinger, starting pitcher Alex Wood, and third baseman Justin Turner, with Turner beating out four others in the Final Vote on Thursday. Second-year shortstop Corey Seager is in his second All-Star Game, joined by closer Kenley Jansen, plus perennial All-Star Clayton Kershaw, who started for the Dodgers on Sunday and won’t pitch Tuesday.
Yankees slugger Aaron Judge won the Home Run Derby at Marlins Park on Monday night. It was an incredibly display of his power-hitting prowess as he topped Miguel Sano in the final round to earn the victory.
Fox will begin its coverage with a pregame show at 7:30 p.m., with host Kevin Burkhardt joined by a pair of analysts familiar with the festivities — 14-time All-Star Alex Rodriguez and Hall of Famer Frank Thomas, a five-time All-Star.
