Oregon State beat Arkansas in three games in the finals.

Oregon State was a game from elimination twice, and used a pair of two-game winning streaks to win their third NCAA baseball championship, and their first since 2007.

The Beavers needed to beat Mississippi State to get to the finals, then trailed Arkansas by a game and trailed in the ninth inning of Game 2. A foul pop fly that could have been the final out of a Razorbacks title instead fell to the grass, and Oregon State rallied to win that game, and then Game 3 to win the championship at TD Ameritrade Park in Omaha.

Tournament preview

The 2018 College World Series is here, with eight teams vying for the NCAA baseball tournament championship over a week and a half at TD Ameritrade Park in Omaha.

The regional and subregional rounds have whittled down the tournament field from 64 to eight teams. Left standing is No. 1 overall Florida, the defending champion and one of three SEC teams to make the College World Series.
