Amanda Nunes will put her title on the line at UFC 215: Nunes vs. Shevchenko. Nunes will finally take on Valentina Shevchenko in the women’s bantamweight division after their first meeting was postponed on fight day when Nunes came down with an illness.
Sunday’s pay-per-view card will begin at 10 p.m. ET and will be streamed online in the UFC app on various devices. Prelims can be found beginning at 6:30 p.m. on UFC Fight Pass and then broadcast on FS1 at 8 p.m. You can find links to pertinent streaming services nearer the bottom of this article.
In addition to the title bout, the card will also feature big-name fighters like Rafael dos Anjos, Gilbert Melendez, Sara McMann, and Jeremy Stephens. It was originally supposed to feature Demetrious Johnson vs. Ray Borg in the main event, but Borg had to drop out of the fight due to an illness. That elevated the Nunes vs. Shevchenko fight to the top billing.
Nunes is making her second defense, and is fighting for the first time since her first-round knockout of Ronda Rousey in December 2016. She already owns one win over Shevchenko, from March 2016, though it was a contentious decision victory.
Melendez and Stephens will face each other to open the card in the featherweight division. Melendez has had a rough run since joining the UFC after being the Strikeforce Lightweight Champion. He’s lost his last three fights, to Anthony Pettis, Eddie Alvarez, and Edson Barboza.
Dos Anjos is fighting in his second bout at welterweight, the first being a unanimous decision win over Tarec Saffiedine in June. Prior to that, he’d lost two consecutive bouts, one of them being his TKO loss to Eddie Alvarez that saw him lose his UFC Lightweight Championship.
McMann is a former title challenger in the UFC, back in February 2014 when she lost to Rousey. Since then, she’s gone 4-2 in the UFC, with wins in her last three bouts. She’s looking to get back into title contention and will headline the preliminary card with a fight against Ketlen Vieira.
Henry Cejudo and Wilson Reis will be facing each other in a main card bout. It was originally scheduled for the preliminary card until the Borg vs. Johnson fight was cancelled.
