Kevin Harvick, Wife DeLana Welcome Baby Boy (Not Named Otis)

Baby Otis has arrived – and his name is not Otis.

DeLana Harvick, wife of NASCAR driver Kevin Harvick, gave birth to a baby boy on Sunday: Keelan Paul Harvick (pronounced "Keylan"), who had been referred to as "Baby Otis" on Twitter throughout the pregnancy.

Baby Otis Keelan was born weighing 6.8 pounds and measuring 19.5 inches. Both mother and baby are doing fine, according to a statement.

"Waiting on Keelan was the longest nine months of my entire life," Kevin Harvick said in the statement. "But time literally stood still when I held our baby for the first time.

"I've accomplished a lot in my life that I'm proud of, but those moments don't hold a candle to becoming a father and seeing that little face looking up at you. DeLana and I are just amazed by how special and rewarding this is."

DeLana had returned to North Carolina early, which prompted concerns she might give birth during Saturday night's Coke Zero 400 – which would have required her driver husband to make a decision on whether or not to skip the race. A backup driver was secured just in case, but Keelan waited until Sunday.
