Greg Biffle ended NASCAR's regular season – the first 26 races – as the Sprint Cup Series points leader.
But as the checkered flag waved on Saturday night – er, Sunday morning – at Richmond International Raceway, NASCAR re-seeded the top 12 drivers and put Biffle in fifth.
The new points leader is Denny Hamlin, who has 2012 points thanks to his four wins – each worth three points apiece. Drivers are seeded by wins first, then second-place finishes, third-place finishes and so on.
