2015 NASCAR at Kentucky Speedway weather forecast

The 2015 NASCAR season started off mostly dry. The west coast swing back in the spring looked like the start of a great season when it came to the weather. Since May, while not every weekend has been wet, it sure has felt like a wet couple of months. Two of the last three weeks have had to deal with rain: Michigan and Daytona.

Rain is in the forecast for another race weekend this time at Kentucky Speedway. While not as wet as Michigan or Daytona the rain is a threat, especially on Friday. Showers and storms are expected in the morning and again in the afternoon and evening on Friday out at Kentucky Speedway. Rain could cause delays or even cancellation of practice and even qualifying. Odds of racing Friday night are around 60 percent.

As for Saturday's Sprint Cup race, the odds of racing are much higher. While there is a chance of an isolated storm or two I think we are dry going into the afternoon and evening. While a storm or two could cause a delay the odds of racing Saturday night are around 80 percent.
