NBA Draft Rumors: Hornets Looking At Power Forwards With No. 10 Pick

The New Orleans Hornets will certainly select power forward Anthony Davis with the No. 1 pick in the 2012 NBA Draft on June 28. But it looks like they may take another big man with the No. 10 selection. John Reid of the New Orleans Times-Picayune talked to Hornets coach Monty Williams about recent workouts and the type of players New Orleans is looking for.

"There is more bigs, in my opinion, that fit what we're looking for," Hornets Coach Monty Williams said after Monday's workout at the Alario Center. "With the number of guards available, most of them are going to go a lot of higher than our 10th pick, so that may have something to do with it."

The Hornets have huge needs at point guard and small forward; beyond Davis, the team has high-paid Emeka Okafor and Gustavo Ayon up front, plus free agents Chris Kaman and Carl Landry. The draft's best point guard, Damian Lillard, is expected to go as high as No. 6 and probably no lower than No. 8. That could leave Kendall Marshall for the Hornets at No. 10, if they're convinced he can affect the game as much as an available second big like Jared Sullinger, John Henson or Perry Jones III could.
