NBA Owner Complains About Effects Of Shortened Schedule

New, comment

Is it any surprise that the first NBA owner to be quoted grousing about a schedule defect caused by the lockout would be the Phoenix Suns' Robert Sarver? Of course not.

From Paul Coro of the Arizona Republic:

Phoenix is the only team that will not have a home game this season against Boston, Chicago, Miami, New York or Orlando.

"I was disappointed for our fans," Sarver said. "When the preliminary schedule came out, I asked the league to reconsider and they didn't."

If only there were a way that NBA owners like Sarver could have guaranteed that every marquee team would visit every NBA city like in a normal 82-game season ...
