JaVale McGee And The Most Pathetic Triple Double In NBA History

Tuesday night, JaVale McGee had a triple double against the Chicago Bulls with 11 points, 12 rebounds, and an absolutely ridiculous 12 blocks. 'Course, he didn't block quite enough shots, because JaVale's Wizards still lost by 19 points.

But that's only part of why JaVale's career night was so pathetic. You have to watch this video, along with NBA TV's spot-on commentary, to get the full JaVale McGee experience:

It leaves us wondering ... If a tree falls in a forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound? If a McGee has a triple double for a team losing by double digits, does it really count? If a player disgraces the game of basketball by celebrating like a schoolboy when his team's down 20 points, shouldn't there be some sort of asterisk in the record books?

These are questions without clear answers, but I'm glad we're asking. Really, on the eight-year anniversary of Ricky Davis' infamous triple double attempt, I wouldn't have it any other way.
