Does Tony Parker Think Spurs' Window Has Closed?

Tony Parker talked to French sports publication L'Equipe about the demise of the San Antonio Spurs. According to a translation on the official FIBA website -- who took special interest in the point guard's comments on the impact of an NBA lockout on European Olympic qualifying -- Parker says that the Spurs' championship goals are deadParker says that age has finally caught up with the Spurs.

"At the start of the season I said this was our last chance," he said. "Tim and Gino (Manu Ginobili) are getting old. It's going to be tough to regenerate ourselves. We will always have a good team but we can no longer say that we're playing for a championship."

Parker is, of course, the youngest of San Antonio's big three. He's also been the biggest subject of trade rumors since the Memphis Grizzlies knocked the Spurs out of the playoffs; S.A. has George Hill, a really good point guard, behind TP3.
