On Friday night, the Chicago Bulls spent the first half of Game 3 dominating the Hawks in Atlanta. With both teams looking to get a 2-1 lead in the Eastern Conference semifinals, the Bulls lead at halftime, 56-43.
After scoring 17 points in the first quarter alone, reigning MVP Derrick Rose heads into the locker room with 21. He took a few minutes off in the second quarter, at which point the scoring was spread around to the likes of Taj Gibson, Kyle Korver, and C.J. Watson. Overall, the Bulls are out-rebounding the Hawks, 24-16, and are shooting 52.3 percent from the field.
The Hawks are led in scoring by Jeff Teague, who has 13 points, and Joe Johnson, who has 10. Atlanta really needs a big game from Al Horford Friday night, but so far, the center has only four points.
