Coming into Game 2 of the NBA Finals, many were wondering how Dirk Nowitzki would handle the torn tendon on his left middle finger. If there was any doubt, Nowitzki answered how he was feeling to end the game as he went left, blew by Chris Bosh and finished in traffic with a lefty lay-up for the game-winning bucket to even the series at one. Bosh was stuck one-on-one with Nowitzki, Udonis Haslem was slow to help and the rest, as they say, is history.
Here's Nowitzki's shot, which lifted the Dallas Mavericks to a 95-93 win over the Miami Heat in Game 2 (via Blazers Edge).
Nowitzki's game-winner completed an incredible comeback by the Mavs as they came roaring back from down 13 with just under six minutes to go. The Mavs closed with a 20-5 run, capped by dueling threes from Nowitzki and Mario Chalmers before the play seen above. And all of the sudden, Dallas went from dead in the water to alive and well in the NBA Finals.
And, yes, Dirk Nowitzki is still an absolute beast.
