The Miami Heat appeared well on the way to an easy victory after running up a 22-5 first-quarter lead over the Houston Rockets. The Heat still got that win but needed a come-from-behind 113-110 victory to get past Houston.
Miami found itself trailing in the fourth quarter until a layup by LeBron James put the Heat up 111-110 with 18 seconds remaining. James was stellar all evening, finishing with 38 points, 10 rebounds and six assists.
Jeremy Lin and James Harden missed three-point attempts on Houston's next two possessions, as Miami escaped with the win.
Chris Bosh had a double-double in the victory for Miami, finishing with 24 points and 10 rebounds. Dwyane Wade chipped in 19 points, six rebounds and seven assists.
In the loss, Chandler Parsons was excellent for Houston. He had a career-high 25 points.
Miami will be in Los Angeles to play the Clippers on Wednesday, while Houston will host New Orleans on the same night.
