Raptors vs. Nets 2012 results: Brooklyn wins 107-100 in home opener

The Nets won their first game in the Barclays Center, defeating the Raptors 107-100.

The Brooklyn Nets won their first-ever game in Brooklyn as well as their first game of the season, defeating the Toronto Raptors, 107-100, at the Barclays Center. Toronto jumped out to a 35-27 lead after the first quarter, but the Nets recovered in the second, outscoring the Raptors by 16 to take an 8-point halftime lead. The two teams stayed close in the second half, with Brooklyn ultimately pulling away in the final minutes of the game.

Center Brook Lopez was the Nets' leading scorer, scoring 27 points while picking up five rebounds. Deron Williams had 17 points and nine assists, while offseason addition Joe Johnson had 14 points in his Nets debut. C.J. Watson led all scorers off the bench, chipping in 15 points while Reggie Evans hauled in 12 rebounds in just 16 minutes of playing time.

Kyle Lowry led all scorers with 28 points, collecting eight rebounds and eight assists as well. DeMar DeRozan had 25 points for the Raptors, while Andrea Bargnani chipped in 13 points.
