Dikembe Mutombo's 4 1/2 Weeks to Save the World

Team up with Old Spice in their addictive new game, Dikembe Mutombo's 4 1/2 Weeks to Save the World.

Dikembe Mutombo -- Dikembe Mutombo Mpolondo Mukamba Jean-Jacques Wamutombo for long -- was a defensive force during his 20 years in the NBA. The finger-waving Congolese American was named Defensive Player of the Year four times, but his biggest defensive challenge is just beginning. Gone are the days of blocking shots and providing low-post help defense -- now, Mutombo must save the world. And he only has four-and-a-half weeks to do so.

Dikembe Mutombo's 4 1/2 Weeks to Save the World, a real-time, digital video game brought to you by Old Spice Champion, features the former NBA star in his greatest defensive role yet -- saving Earth from "its impending doom on December 21, 2012, as per the Mayan calendar" (PLAY IT at http://www.oldspicesavestheworld.com/).

The premise of the 8-bit video game, which amazingly is voiced by Mutombo himself, is simple enough: the world is ending, so we ask Dikembe Mutombo to save us. And we help him along the way -- the more points you earn playing, the more rings a wood carver will add to the Mayan Calendar, avoiding Earth's impending doom.

There are five levels in all: The Great 2012 Dance Crisis (so much Gangnam Style), The Blurgpocalypse, The Lethal Dose of Teenage Vampire Movies and The Problematic Hoagie Problem. All available to play NOW, and the final level will be released today, December 17.

Dikembe is powered on his mission by Old Spice's Champion scent which is "about inspiring self‐confidence when guys need it most."
