Reggie Miller Named To Basketball Hall Of Fame, Leads Class Of 2012

Former Indiana Pacers great Reggie Miller has been named to the Basketball Hall of Fame, headlining a group of 12 that will make up the Class of 2012. Miller joins a group of six others announced today and five that were directly announced in February.

The Class of 2012 also includes Don Nelson, the winningest coach in NBA history; Jamaal Wilkes, a star for the Golden State Warriors and Los Angeles Lakers; Ralph Sampson, a former University of Virginia star and Houston Rockets center; and Chet Walker, a former Philadelphia 76ers star.   • Mel Daniels, former ABA star for the Pacers.
  • Ralph Sampson
  • Katrina McClain, two-time Olympic champion
  • Hank Nichols, official
  • All American Red Heads, the first women's professional basketball team
  • Don Barksdale, one of the first African-American players in the league
  • Lidia Alexeeva, former Soviet Union women's player
  • Phil Knight, co-founder of Nike
Miller reaches the Hall of Fame after playing 18 years for the Pacers, averaging 18.2 points per game for his career and providing plenty of playoff moments. He is arguably the most beloved Pacers player in the franchise's history.
