On Monday night, Amar'e Stoudemire and the New York Knicks dropped Game 2 against the Miami Heat and are on the verge of being eliminated. Stoudemire may have eliminated himself, however, as immediately after leaving the court following the loss, he punched a fire extinguisher box, lacerating his hand and necessitating stitches, a heavily-bandaged hand and a sling. He may now miss the rest of the playoffs as a result. If he does, this may very well go down as one of the most undignified exits in postseason history. I think we all know what must now be done. Play him off, keyboard cat!
In a way, you really have to feel bad for Stoudemire, who was already playing through a back injury to help his team have the best chance possible in the playoffs. On the other hand, this was probably the most Knicks thing to have happened to the team this year.
Feel free to watch the above video numerous times. Amar'e would have wanted it that way. Maybe.
