The Douglas County Sheriff's office has released a statement regarding their search of the home of Denver Nuggets forward Chris "Birdman" Andersen as part of a child pornography investigation. In the statement, the office notes that it has been investigating Andersen since February.
The Douglas County Sheriff's Office Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) unit began investigating Anderson in February 2012 in reference information that was provided by a law enforcement agency in California.
Douglas County Sheriff’s Office took over the criminal investigation at that time.
DCSO has recovered property from the residence that we believe is connected to this case.
This is a search warrant and no arrests have been made.
The Denver Post notes that there is at least one other person living in Andersen's home. However, according to the statement, it appears that Andersen is the target of the investigation at this time. He cooperated fully with the investigation, a Sheriff Office spokesperson told the Denver Post.
